If you have a lot of products to sell, it may take some time in setting
up your e-Store. Fortunately,
there are steps you can take to greatly reduce the amount of time it takes
to setup.
Go through the Getting Started Checklist
By through the Getting Started Checklist,
it give you a list of steps you need to do before you e-Store is ready.
By default,
the Getting Started Checklist
is located on the Home tab of
the Control Panel. You
can also browse the Getting Started
help files online for additional information.
Use the "Clone" feature to replicate similar products
The "Clone" feature is a tool that will allow you to make
a copy of an existing product. This
saves you time if you have multiple products that are very similar. For
example: suppose you are selling a T-Shirt that has an option list of
Small, Medium, and Large. By
cloning the item, you do not have to re-create the option list for the
new product. All
you have to do is make minor text modifications.
For instructions on how to use the clone feature, please visit the following

Use a "Batch Image" utility for multiple photos
A "batch image" utility comes in handy if you have a vast
amount of photos, and you need to make a global change to each photo.
For example,
if you have used a digital camera to photograph your products under high
resolution, the file size and dimensions may not be web-friendly. You
can setup a batch image program to reduce all images to be under a resolution
of 200x200 pixels with the press of one button. This
can save the administrator a lot of time editing the product images.
For batch imaging software, please do an internet search for "batch
image software", or consult the feature list of your current photo
editing program.
Note: You can also use the built-in photo resizing option in the e-Store,
but this is a lot slower. For
more information on how to do this, please visit the following link:

Upload all your photos and files at once
Instead of uploading your files one at a time, you can manually FTP
all your files to the server. For more information on how to do this,
please visit the following link:
