The e-Store is made secure by a SSL (Secure Socket Layer) that is installed on the server. It provide encryption so that secure data can be safely transmitted across the internet.
When a page is secure, the address bar should change from "http://" to "https://", as show below:
Also, if the status bar is enabled in your web browser, you will see a lock icon, which helps identify a secure page.
