Set up Microsoft Outlook 2000/2002/2003
The instructions for setting up Outlook vary slightly depending on the Outlook version you are using.  For Outlook 2002-2003, please use the Outlook 2003 instructions, otherwise use the Outlook 2000 instructions at the bottom of the page.  If you are not sure what version you have, from the Outlook menu bar, select Help -> About.  To setup Outlook to download your email, please preform the following steps: Outlook 2002/2003

1. Open Outlook 2003
2. From the menu bar, select Tools -> E-mail Accounts...
3. Select Add a new e-mail account, press Next
4. Select POP3, press Next
5. Enter the following information in the window below:

Your Name: The name that will show up on your email
Email Address: Your email address
User Name: Your email address
Password: Your email password
Incoming Mail Server (POP3): mail.domain.com
Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP): mail.domain.com

Note: For both the Incoming mail (POP3) and Outgoing mail (SMTP), enter mail.domain.com, substituting domain.com with the name and extension of your domain name.  

6. Press the More Settings... button
7. Select the Outgoing Servers tab
8. Check mark My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication, press OK

9. Verify the settings are correct by pressing the Test Account Settings button
10. Press Next
11. Press Finish

Outlook 2000

1. Open Outlook 2000
2. From the menu bar, select Tools -> Accounts...
3. Select the Mail tab
4. Press the Add button, then select Mail
5.
Enter your name, press Next
6. Enter your email address, press Next
7. For both the Incoming mail (POP3) and Outgoing mail (SMTP), enter mail.domain.com.

Note: For both the Incoming mail (POP3) and Outgoing mail (SMTP), enter mail.domain.com, substituting domain.com with the name and extension of your domain name.

8. Press Next
9. Under Account Name, enter your email address, and then enter your email password in the following field

 

 

10. Press Next
11. Select how you connect to the internet, press Next

Note: Broadband users should select Connect using my local area network (LAN)

12. Press Finish
13. Select your mail account, and press the Properties button
14. Press the Servers tab
15. Under Outgoing Mail Server, make sure My server requires authentication is check marked, as shown below:

16. Press OK
17. Press Close

You should now be able to download your email by pressing the Send/Receive button.
